Dr Akintayo Adisa is a chemical scientist by training with over 15yrs experience in the chemical Industry.

He joined BASF West Africa in 2013 and has held various positions such as Business Development manager, Managing Director Zambia and Business Development Manager, Southern Africa.

In his recent role as Manager, Senior Projects Sustainability, he is responsible for the Waste-2-Chemicals Project Nigeria which seeks to:

 

Design and deploy a scalable model to aggregate and sort at micro level plastic waste from the streets of Lagos; Leverage off the shelf cost effective, pyrolysis technology to regenerate original crude oil content from sorted plastic waste into a potential chemical building blocks and Enable a circular economy by re-engaging those chemical building blocks in BASF value chains (After potential co-processing or direct swap against cracker feeds).
