Submit your packaging to win a prestigious AfriStar medal
Propak West Africa will be partnering with Packaging Organisation (APO), with the recently launched AfriStar Packaging Awards set to be featured alongside all the PROPAK exhibitions and events in Africa.
Entry Deadline Extended to Monday 15th August 2022
This will be the last day for on-line entries to be completed, and the entry fee to be paid. Samples to be delivered no later than Friday 26th August 2022.
This new packaging awards programme is designed to showcase the very best of the African packaging industry. The AfriStar Awards are introduced as a pan-African Awards programme alongside the established Gold Pack Awards. All entries will compete in all of the appropriate categories of the Gold Pack Awards. In addition there is a specialist AfriStar Category, which will be judged in two parts -
1. Packaging entries from anywhere in Africa but outside of South Africa
2. Entries produced in South Africa specifaaly for markets in Africa but outside of South Africa.

The main criteria for packaging that wins awards and recognition in this competition are the excellent application and execution of packaging that demonstrates creative design, marketing or technology applied to packaging produced in Africa.
The first awards ceremony will be held in South Africa in early November 2022, to be repeated in Nigeria alongside PROPAK West Africa in mid-November 2022 and in Kenya alongside PROPAK East Africa in mid-March 2023.
